Uh oh, there seems to be a theme and we are only through half the month of January!!!
I don't mean to wait till the weekend but I have a good reason this week got away from me. Sinus congestion. Yep, our Yukon temperatures warmed up and brought with it a bout of sinus congestion that rivals the worst migraine (and trust me, I've had a doozy or two). I spent 4 days in bed. I wish I could say I enjoyed my time, read some books, did some handwork, watched movies. Unfortunately not, my time was spent holding my head, curled in the fetal position.
But you know what?
I'm much better now!!!! Wahoo!!! Ok, not a 100%...but at least I can wear my glasses, I can read and I can handle the light on and a bit of noise. And I can once again eat (4 days of not eating, I hope it's noticeable when I get out of these sweatpants).
So no quilting or sewing updates unfortunately. I did look longingly at a bag of scraps wondering if any would work for my African coins class in March, however, the bag was so far away.
I was able to pull out my cross stitching last night for a short while. Oh I'm getting so close!!!!
I'm now thinking of ways to finish this. Framing would be great but also very expensive as this isn't a standard size that I can just pick up in town.
What about sewing? I'm not big on the ol'let's turn it into a wall hanging idea. Over the years I've had several of those and I find that I tire of the look.
I notice that Diane at Little House Needleworks finished off her latest piece to hold threads for her current projects. There are little circles to attach the threads and it folds close. Oh I like that.
Any thoughts? Any links to other ideas? I'd love to hear your ideas.
I'm off for a nap and who knows, I might make it to my sewing machine this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sinus congestion - doesn't sound good and isn't good, I know. I've had it once and don't need it anymore, lol. Very good to read that you are doing a lot better by now. And that you can stitch and maybe get back to your sewing machine.
I have no suggestions on how to finish him, but i did want say how lovely he turned out. Thanks for sharing him.
